The San Pablo Avenue Bus Lanes and Bike Lanes Project is the outcome of a multi-year planning effort to make it safer and more comfortable for pedestrians and bicyclists, and improve bus travel times and reliability. Careful analysis and public input resulted in direction from the city councils in Oakland, Emeryville, Berkeley, Albany, AC Transit and the Alameda County Transportation Commission (Alameda CTC) to advance three complementary projects along the corridor, including the Bus Lanes and Bike Lanes Project between 16th Street in Downtown Oakland and Heinz Avenue in South Berkeley.
